At turn 1, you make your way onto Rt. 77 which is typically windy and mostly a false flat type of grade with a few mild inclines. At turn 2, you make your way onto Rt. 78 and this is almost all downhill and fast, you then turn right (turn 3) onto Woodchuck Rd. which takes you to the final turn and the finish climb on 20A that finishes in front of EverFab. It makes for a long day in the saddle.
Rice Road Hill - BBC Series

Men 1-3 / Women 1-2 (BBC Race)Laps: 6 » Distance: 33.18mi » Elevation: 2148ft Men 4 / Women 3 (BBC Race)Laps: 5 » Distance: 27.65mi » Elevation: 1790ft Men 5 / Women 4/5 (BBC Race)Laps: 4 » Distance: 22.12mi » Elevation: 1432ft Park on Pfarner Rd.
DO NOT PARK IN THE FIRE STATION LOT.
A relatively short course that will grind you down. There is one steep climb and one very quick decent that leads right into a sharp turn at turn 2. The climb, immediately following turn 3, is up Rice Hill. It is sharply steep at the bottom then eventually starts to level off. This is where the KOM points are awarded on course. The finish straight is completely flat, but near then end, has a slight rise & opens up from tree cover and almost always means a stiff wind to deal with for the sprint to the line.
There will be a group ride approx. 35 miles long. Within this ride, there will be strava segments that will be “raced”. Of these selected segments, the riders times will be recorded (via strava app) and totaled (via BBC). The overall winner will have the best time total for each of the selected segments listed below. You can still participate in the ride if you do not use strava. However, your segment times will not be scored.
