SUMMARY:USAC: Grand Island Team Time Trial Championship in memory of Glenn Hansen (and NY State TTT Championships)
DESCRIPTION:Click here for more information on categories and rules\, and to sign up!  This event is separate from Buffalo Bicycling Club membership and requires separate registration here!\nThe Buffalo Bicycling Club is excited to host the New York State Team Time Trial Championships on Grand Island.  This is a newly separate event on the state championship schedule.  The Buffalo Bicycling Club is using a long-time local favorite loop where we host our club TTT event and the event is in memory of the Buffalo Bicycling Club’s legendary time trial specialist\, Glenn Hansen\, who passed away from cancer in 2009. \nThis event is open to anyone as the Grand Island Team Time Trial in Memory of Glenn Hansen while also being the NY State TTT Championship for NY State residents. \nWe also have “cannibal” events and individual time trial events that are not part of the state championship titles. \nIn this event\, teams of 3 or 4 riders start individually in one-minute intervals for a 20.5-mile loop against the clock.  Your team’s time is taken off of the third rider across the line\, so work together to get three riders across the line together! \nMarshalling a Race\nWe always need volunteers to make these races happen!  In the USAC time trial\, we need assistance with registration table\, event setup and teardown\, and assistance at the start and finish line.  We’ll pay you or a family member/friend $40 for your assistance!  It also fulfills a BBC membership requirement to volunteer.  Sign up to marshal here. \n

SUMMARY:Buffalo Triathlon Club Thursday Time Trial
DESCRIPTION:The Buffalo Triathlon Club is inviting the Buffalo Bicycling Club to their Thursday Night Time Trial!\nYou must be a member of the Buffalo Bicycling Club (or Buffalo Triathlon Club) to participate in this event.  Membership categories eligible for this: Full\, Rookie\, Junior/College\, Out-of-Town\, Group Ride/Workout\, Cyclocross.  Not eligible: ——-. To join\, click here. \nPlease note that this event does not count towards your Buffalo Bicycling Club points standings\, but come out and meet people from the BTC and ride your TT or road bike fast! \nFor full details on the BTC website\, click here! \nParking and What to Expect on Race Day:\nThis season bricks and time trials will take place at the North Amherst Fire Company & Park\, located at the corner of Tonawanda Creek Road (South) and Campbell Blvd (rte 270). The address is 2200 Tonawanda Creek\, Amherst NY 14228. \nOn-site sign-in\, number assignment\, and transition area set-up takes place between 5:45pm – 6:25pm.  The timed brick events start promptly at 6:30pm.  It is crucial that we start on time to ensure that we finish before dusk.  If you arrive late\, there is a good chance that you will still be able to do the timed event; however you will have to wait until after everyone else has started so that the volunteers can check you in and get you started\, without delaying the start of everyone else.  There will be official time keepers at these events\, and the results will be posted afterwards.  The time keepers will also keep an eye on everything in the transition area.  Members are also welcomed to participate in the workouts even if they do not want to be timed and do not want to have their results recorded and posted. \nThe Northtown bricks and time trials take place at the North Amherst Fire Company & Park\, located at the corner of Tonawanda Creek Road (South) and Campbell Blvd (rte 270).  The exact address is 2200 Tonawanda Creek\, Amherst NY 14228.  It is crucial that you park on the West side of the fire hall\, and not the East side (where the baseball diamond is)\, because the ambulance exists from the East side.  The fire hall is a prime location for the brick workouts because there is ample parking\, decent roads to bike on\, and a very nice paved running path.  The terrain is very flat. Use the interactive map below to familiarize yourself with the location\, bike\, and run courses. \nCourse:\nThe BTC uses 2 laps of a 6.25-mile course to make the full 12.5 miles (20km) covering Tonawanda Creek and North Tonawanda Creek Roads
