The 2026 Buffalo Bicycling Club Base Building Challenge is ON!
Here’s How It Works:
We are switching things up for 2026’s Base Building Challenge! This year it is going to be a BUDDY CHALLENGE! Pair up with a friend to hit your target hours together during the month of January to win prizes!
- “Building your aerobic base is a cornerstone of cycling success, laying the foundation for endurance, efficiency, and sustained power. However, the journey to a strong base cones with a critical challenge: balancing training with recovery. Overtraining is a real risk that can derail progress and lead to fatigue, injury, or burnout. The article above explores how to build your base effectively, focusing on individualized training loads tailored to your recovery capacity and current fitness.”
Start your base building right this January by riding for a chance to win prizes. Track your hours on Strava or with weekly submissions, and we’ll reward you for your hard work!
